Hi

I am trying to find 2 half sisters for a friend, any help would be appreciated .
The father was John Alan Upton who married a Josie probably in the late forties early fifties, the two daughters were born in the Nottingham area.
Not much to go on I am afraid. Could anyone find the marriage for me?

Thankyou

Hi Shirley, thanks for your help. My friend is just phoning her Auntie to see if she knows the names of the girls or any other information. I will post it if I find anything.

Thanks

The closest match I can find is in 1957 but it is to a June not Josie :-(

I have just spoke frriend who says the mothers name was June not Josie and the two daughters are Jackie and Josie, but if the parents were not married then they would probably be registered in the mothers surname which is not known.

Thanks April

Hmmm, not finding any marriages for Teresa or Josie M........do you think that they may be known by a different surname?

Obviously I don't know the circumstances, but perhaps their mother remarried and the girls took on their stepfather's name?

My friend is going to ring another Auntie tomorrow to see if she knows anything more about the sisters. She heard they emigrated to Australia, but then was told that was not true and they were in England.
I will post tomorrow with more information hopefully.

Thanks everyone for all your help.
