This is when you transfer your data onto another programme
Hope this helps
As you are a newbie do please put your information on a programme and not just on this site if it goes down you have nothing to show for all your hard work.

If she entered it into a family tree type program on her PC, or entered it into an online site like this one, then there'll be an option to export the tree as a gedcom. Get her to export it, and send you a copy of that gedcom. Any family tree type program and this site can import a gedcom. (Before you let folk look at it online, you should make some effort to hide living relatives.)

First of all do you have a family tree program on your PC? If not then this is the first thing you need to get organised.
