The historical phone directories on Ancestry are useful too - not much good if your surnames are Smith or Jones, but for the rarer surnames they can help you trace a family's movements through the 20th century. They have a good coverage of years, from 1880 - 1984. |

Can anyone tell me how you can find out what happened to a family after 1911 Census? How can you map their movements? |
