Hi,

Thanks for your suggestions, but I have had little joy with WW1 records or basca. Unfortunately, I do not know his regiment either.

I am new to family research and inexperienced.

Thomas' daughter apparently contacted our family in the 1950's and requested to come and visit. The family decided to burn the letter as they wanted nothing to do with a 'foreign' family. I was upset last week when I found this out and would desperately like to contact them if possible.

thank you all for any help and suggestions you have provided.

kind regards

Terry

Hi,
my ancestor Thomas Harries, born 1887 was apparently posted to India in WW1. He decided to marry and stay in India.
Any tips about how to trace his family?
Any help would be appreciated
thanks
