Thanks for reply
As far as I'm aware I haven't deleted any cookies, Ancestry is in my favorites and that is the way I go into Ancestry but I will look into what you have posted.

Yous settings for Ancestry are held in cookies on your pc. If they get lost or deleted then you revert to the Ancestry default settings.

I also keep the following in My Browser Favourites so I can get straight to the page without having to remember where things are

Ancestry Home (rarely used)
http://www.ancestry.co.uk/

Ancestry Search (used now and again I tend to select trees from here)
http://www.ancestry.co.uk/search/

E & W BMD's
http://www.ancestry.co.uk/search/rectype/vital/freebmd/bmd.aspx

UK Census Collection

What sort of problems are there supposed to be?

I have an Essentials membership and it is business as usual for me.

Norma, sounds as though you are not logged in, or else you are trying to view something not covered in your subscription. You should see something like the following near the top of the page

Hi, Norma Sign Out Messages (9) My Account etc.
