Look at the Croydon site which I have added to my last post, but without an address you don't have much hope.

thanks for that i will have to make a visit to the library. trouble being i dont have an address so will have to see what i can figure out. but thanks for your help

No Rolls were collected for 1940-1944 as no elections were held for these years.

This is a particularly good example of a Local authority site which sets out what is available.

Electoral Rolls were suspended during WWII.

Not sure exactly when they were re-introduced but you will have to visit the library / archive centre for the area you are interested in as only very recent ones are on-line as pay-per-view.

You will only be able to search by address as there are no name indexes.

hi i am looking to see if there is anyone who has access to electrol registers for 1939 to 1950. Are they available online or will i have to visit a library ?
