Am looking for a person....found a possible birth and marriage cert for them......but not on a single census record until 1911.....could anyone please give me some sort of clue as to why or how a person could vanish until there marriage..

If male - they could be in the army or navy.

Possibly in prison or in hospital.

Most likely that they have been mistranscribed - particularly if surname is not one of the most common surnames.

Also, bear in mind that ages stated on censuses might not be brilliantly accurate so allow for that as well.

thanks......will try looking under name change.....as cant even find on census when would have been 7 or 8....
