Gone to Australia?

Hi, I am trying to find a family that was living in Ashton, Lancashire in 1965. There were four members of the family (husband, wife and two children). I am trying to find them to reunite a half sister with her siblings however I have exhausted all my possibilities to find them in this country and feel fairly certain that they might have left for another country. It was suggested someone who knew of them that they might have gone to Australia. Has anyone any idea where (or how) I might search for this family. They might have not gone there but I have got to start some where. Many thanks.
