If you know her maiden name and where she lived (or where she was likely to have got married) then Ancestry has all marriages transcribed.

Helen
Thanks, freebmd is very useful. Not found specific info on this marriage but found other useful detail on other family members. I''ll post something on the "trying to find" board.
Thanks again
Simon

depending on time scale

try freebmd (up to about 1930), you only need to put in one spouse's name to find a marriage

depending on how uncommon her first name is you might be able to find a death by putting in approx. date of birth and her first name, again freebmd up to about 1930 otherwise ancestry or find my past

you may want to post more details here and someone may be able to help you

Hello all

Only just started on this quest but boy is it addictive !

Managed to trace back my fathers family fairly well but am stuck with one of his aunts. I have her birth info (and approx death date) but my father cannot remember her married name so I am stuck.

Any tips on how to trace marriage from maiden name or indeed death details from maiden name ?

Many thanks
Simon
