Hi

Scotlandspeople is a great site. As others have said its pay per view but you can then print out your info. Works out £1 per cert once you have found the right one. 30 credits for £6, 1 credit per search and 5 per image.
You also get 3mth?/ to use them up.

Henrietta death cert will give you parents names.Or if you have them you can search for a marriage. I think they marriages go up to 1933 now on SP. you will get their parents names from that and so on.

Have a look at the site and register. You dont have to pay to register and you can do a certain amount of searching for free.

Welcome to world of family trees, Rachael!

You need Scotlandspeople for Scottish records. Pay per view but very good value for money.

If you are stuck just give us a shout. Loads of people willing to point you in the right direction. I do appreciate that you only need a helping hand and want to have the fun of doing your own research, though.

Hi Rachael, there are some good tips on these boards from Heather Posi. Keep looking for them and I will nudge them up as and when I can.

There are a couple of good sites for you to search for free:

freebmd.org.uk

familysearch.org

they are both easy to use and I am sure you will get the hang of them.

As Marion says above, why not give us some names and someone will surely help you out by looking at various census etc.

Regards. Cx.
