Thanks for all your help everyone. My old PC was very old and didn't have any of this high tech stuff! I think it was circa 1955 .....lol

I can't believe it is only 4 clicks

Go to my pics
put in disc
open to view file
click on file
drag across to my pics and it copies itself (if you click on copy then you get 2 copies!)

I spent 4 days trying to figure this out.
A billion thanks, I couldn't have done it without you all.

Hi. Just open all of your pictures (go to DVD drive and right clik, then clk Open) Under ""Edit" clk Select all. Then clk Copy or Move (copy preferred to retain original) this will open a dialog as to where you wish to copy to (c:MY pictures for instance) then just clk Copy

I'm not sure, but do you have to set a DVD so that it will work on any computer and not just the one on which it was created?

Whilst the look and feel is a bit different, Window 7 Explorer works pretty much the same as previous versions.

You should be able to display / view all the files on your CD dive then drag and drop to a location on your hard drive, much the same as before.

Recently got new PC with windows 7. I transfered all my photos from old PC hard drive onto DVDs to download onto new one. I can view them and copy them to another disc using Nero but can't seem to download them to my hard drive.

As it is my daughters birthday in 2 days time I promised her I would make her an album of all her old ancestors.

I would be truly grateful if someone could help me.
Thank you.
