"Spike Rhiando died in Ireland in 1975. His colourful lifetime was perhaps best
summarised by his grand-daughter Romayne Lewis who said, "Spike died leaving
behind
many unsolved mysteries which I would love to piece together."

"She added, "My father, Max tells me that Spike's father was a famous comedy
juggler
(whose stage name was Rebla) who also tavelled the world during the early 1900s.
Spike
always told people taht he was born in Canada but I am yet to find out if this
is the case.
My father was never told what Spike's birth name was, but he recalls seeing a
cheque
book when he was a small boy which Spike signed as Maxwell Alvin Earl Stevens.
All we
know is that Rebla's birth name was Albert James Stevens."

"Romayne's father and Spike's son is named Maxwell Earl Rhiando."

Looking for England/Wales birth registrations with mother's maiden name Mar*n*t*i gives only one registered with surname Stevens - a birth in 1946, mmn Marenthi - possibly later than would be likely for the couple you are following?

Looking for information on Albert James Stevens,he used the stage name "Rebla" Born possibly abt. 1880 in Melbourne. Died 8-11-1963 Melbourne.age given as 83yrs.I believe he married a lady with the surname "Marinetti" before his return from the continent to England abt. 1918.Any information would be appreciated especially regarding children (if there were any) as i am trying to find a link to a person who lived for years in England possibly under an assumed name.
Regards John.
