Rose,

I would have replied sooner but I am currently at work!

That does look like they could indeed be the Blance and Amy we are looking for, I can confirm the spelling with him later on tonight but of course it is possible that we have it wrong.

This is brilliant, though and thankyou ever so much for looking them up for us!

All I can tell you at the moment is that his grandmothers name was Blanche (sp?) Tight.
Possibly from around the Ludham, Norfolk area..
This is all i can tell you at the moment as we are still asking around family members to find things out. I don't know if this will be of any use though....thank you for offering your help!

Shona, while it might be "hard" I'd says it's not "impossible".
Why not post anything you do know on here and let us have a look for him?

hi there, my boyfriend has recently become interested in researching his mothers family although thinks it could be hard, or even impossible, to find them as they were 'gypsies'.
Did they have records of any kind or is this a dead end?
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated! Sorry if it is a silly question...we don't imagine that they did have certs of any kind but thought I would ask anyway!

thank you.
