By 1901 the families were completing forms themselves - a bit like the 1911 forms.

So it's easily possible that he would be on his form at home with his wife - with the form completed early in the day ready for collection and was then called round to mum and dad's with an emergency or something so logged on their form at the same time.

Hi Katherine

It IS possible for someone to be on the census twice at 2 different addresses......though the census states it was taken on one certain day, I very much doubt if All the information was collected, written down and logged on just one date..................even an enumerator working from early in the morning till late in the evening would only have been able to visit a certain amount of addresses....... this question has come up on a the boards before, and there are quite a few of us whose relative appears with wife and family on one entry, and then as a visitor at parents house a few roads away as well....

Your`e not going loopy!!

Hello everyone,
I am trying to find the parents of Edwin Parry b 1880 in Pontypridd or around that area. I have looked on ancestry and cannot find a baptism or christening record.

I think he may be in the 1901 census twice, i have found him with his wife Rachel Parry nee Lewis b 1883 but also with the family that i found him with in the 1881 census. is this possible? would his wife or parents have said he was there even if he wasnt?
I think i've been looking for him too long and am going slightly loopy!
Any help would be greatly appreciated
