My 3x Grandfather Thomas Parker b1792 in Croydon Surrey appears on the 1841 census with his wife Lidea & son Thomas & also a daughter. Shes the one who is causing me problems.
She seems to be Calimar on the record but on the image it is nothing like this.
Could someone have a peep at this & see what they make of it please. I can't find any other record of her

I do think the 1st letter is a C - but really hard to read, I see what you mean! It looks like Colience - Constance???

In 1851 there is a Selina Parker,servant in Sydenham ,Says opposite the railway station No 1.
This is but a short walk fro Crotdon Road penge,and Selina says she is born in Penge.
I think the person who took the census details couldn't spell,and just had a stab at it.

I feel we are on the right lines with Selina although you wouldn't think so looking at the image ! Off to do a bit of diggng
