It could be any number of things. Is it a problem with more than one site? If so then there may be a problem with your broadband connection.

Try running a broadband speed test a few times to check what speeds you are getting.

It is also a good idea to make sure you do your housekeeping on a regular basis. Clear out your browsing history, temp file for example. CCleaner is good for this.

Also check that there is nothing else running on your computer - use Task Manager to find out. For example, I found that the latest version of AVG was grabbing resource left right and center, slowing things down. I removed it completely and things went back to normal. I now use Microsoft Security Essentials (the replacement for Defender) as my main protection package.

Not sure what you didn't like about Firefox. Most people I know who have tried it won't go back to IE as their main browser - it is faster, easier to uses and less prone to errors. It is also a good idea to have an alternative browser installed in case your main one stops working, or gets corrupted. At least that way you can get onto the Internet to try and fix things.

I don't know if there was a problem with Genes Reunited but it was extremely slow earlier this evening but it seems to be running fine now.

Was it just tonight or do you have this problem all the time.
Are you on dial up or broadband.
Are you running anything else at the same time.
What are you running.........Windows 7, Windows Vista Service pack 2, Windows XP Service pack 3.
Do you have all the updates installed.
Antivirus, firewall.
