Thank you to all who have given some valuable information. I do have access to ancestry but didn't find their service records, so theirs were probably destroyed during WW2.

Once again thank you for taking the time.

Victory refers to the Victory Medal
15 Star refers to the 1914 - 15 Star
SWB refers to the Silver War Badge and almost certainly means that the person who was awarded this was injured and probably invalided out of the Services before the Great War ended.
If you have access to the Index Cards, these should also show the Soldiers Army Number and Regiment. This is valuable information for further searching. As already suggested, if you have access then try Ancestry first, but if (like my Grandfather ) the records you want are not there, then they may have been destroyed.
I found with a bit of searching I discovered the Museum which covers my Grandfathers Regiment. I wrote to the Curator there and they have offered to do all the research to answer my questions for a donation of £25 to the Museum funds.
Hope this helps

Have you checked on Ancestry to see if their service records have survived? If so, they should give you plenty of information. If they haven't survived you would need to go to Kew to look at the Medal Rolls.

Thank you for the useful information. Does that mean I would have to go to Kew for further information?

The references after the names of the medals, i.e. LTP/104B 4 relate to the medal rolls which are held at Kew - they are not online. Medal rolls should give you the battalion the man served in and the roll for the SWB (it IS the Silver War Badge) should give you dates of service.

The documentsonline site has a guide to the various medals

The 1914-15 Star
SWB could be Silver War Badge

Might be worth a look

I have just found on the British Army WWW1 Medal Rolls Index Cards 1914-1920 one for my grandfather and another for his uncle, both with the same name, so don't know which is which, but I cannot make head nor tail of it. It reads
Victory LTP/104B.4
Page: 338
15 Star: TP/42 B/2 68
S.W.B. List: TP/4659
That's just one, the other is different.
Can anybody explain this to me please.
