I deleted the other thread after everyone who posted saying they had tried to find him deleted the messages.

My relation was Cornelius Nicholas born 1844 in Sennen, Cornwall although the family were living in St Just in Penwith, Cornwall by the time of the 1861 census.

His father was John Nicholas(1814) and His mother Elizabeth Chapple(1815) both were born in Sancreed, Cornwall. His mother died around 1855.

Cornelius was the second oldest child of five his siblings were: Elizabeth Ann(1843), Elisha(1849-1852), Elijah (1850) and Eliza Dorcas(1852)

One of my ancestors appears to have gone abroad between 1861 when he was 16 yrs old and 1871.

After three people looking on here for me no trace was found after the 1861 census. There was no sign of a death or marriage for him.

In 1861 he is living with his father in Cornwall. His father and he were agricultural labourers. The only thing I can think of is that he has gone abroad.

Anyone any ideas on her I could look for records of people who have left England
