Hi Barbara

Sorry I didn't get back sooner, the post showed 0 replies.

Yes that is my family. George & Maria were my GGG Grandparents and their son George b.1828 was my GG Grandfather.

George (the son) had one child already but died a month before my G Grandfather (John George) was born in 1954.

The family must have been struck with some awful desease between 1850 and 1854, because so many of them died. I really must get some Death Certificates to find out what it was.

It seems Maria had 9 children in total.

Please tell me you are related....................Pat

I recently saw somewhere on these boards, mention of child brides, well what do you think of one of my ancestors?

Marriage of George Peters (bachelor) to Maria Hebbard (widow) in 1821 at Bedfont, Hounslow, Middlx.

It gets interesting when Maria is found on the 1841 Census aged
33 and on the 1851 census as age 44 which makes her year of birth to be 1807/8 thus making her age on Marriage to be 14 Her Buriel which was in 1854 had her aged 47(again b.1807. Incidently, George was buried in 1850 age 51.

I cannot find her first marriage but I wonder how old she was then!
