I have an old photo of my Grandmother ( who is deceased) and she is standing with A sailor outside Gowings Store in Sydney Australia.. according to family, all they know was that he was a good friend of hers and that his name was Michael. Picture was taken around October 1946.
I know I have no hope of finding who this sailor is, but I would like to know if he was from the Australian Navy or another country.
Are there any Navy enthusists out there who can point me in the right direction of a website with uniforms..Or that I could PM the photo and get an opinion...
I have looked at navy websites and ww2 pages...but am having trouble finding pictures
