you can search on the national archives site

http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/catalogue/
Go to Search the Catalogue on their website, put the surname in and use J77 as the reference to search, if you find it you request a download at the top,

I got my grandfathers from 1907, it cost £8.50 for the digital download and solved a good few mysteries!
