Just by-the-by, am I right in saying that the oldest wife comes up listed as the first, whether this is correct or not?

hooray! yep, it worked
just needed someone else to give me the easy option!!
many thanks
didn'y fancy having to spend the rest of the evening retyping!!

one man - two wives - children with both! - deleting the one that didn't 'go down' too far - and changing person details to correct wife - has solved the problem.
I just have to type her and two children back in!!
thankyou

I've just tested it on my tree and it works correctly. Are you sure that the two mothers are connected to the same man?

thankyou - have clicked on child - but 'change parents' is not a highlighted option to click!

Will have a go at just changing relation details - seems the most simple - if it works!
thankyou

Assuming the two wives are married to the same man, select the child by clicking on him or her then change parents.

Another option which sometimes works is to swap the names of the two wives by editing each of them.

It all depends on what other names you have attached as to what may be the easiest.

sorry 'not highlighted'

please help - I have, by accident, listed a second wife in the wrong place, giving her the first wifes children!! ( I know! - stupid!) but how do I fix it.
On this site I can find no way of changing it around.
There is a button stating 'change parents' but it is highlighted
hopefully
