I am looking for Samuel Martin. I have him in the 1841/51 and 61 census, but would like to go further back. He was born "abt 1804" stated as being born in South Petherwin, parish of Lewannick.
Does anyone have the parish records who can help me. How can I be sure if there are more than one which is the right one ?
Thanks for any help, Wendy

Yes, do please contact the OPC (on line parish clerk) who is very helpful.

I presume this is Samuel?

All Cornish census are free on line, too, put there by volunteers.
