I've recently found some info. about Ancestors settling there in the 1800s. They started 'sugar company' ?

Hi there, if your ancestors were settlers in the area...Breadabane is only a few kllometres out of Proserpine.
contact the Proserpine branch of
Genealogical Society of Queensland Inc.
P.O Box 15
Proserpine Qld 4800.
I am sure you would get some info from them.
I live only a couple of hours south and never even knew Breadalbane
existed...we drive through the area every time we head to Cairns.
