Thanks Maureen, I didn't know they came from Hamburg, so that's something new. I had them down as Wotton Road in Deptford as that was where my father Edward Krauss was born, so they must have moved to Gringling Place after that.
I have the premium Ancestry but I am going to upgrade to Worldwide so that I can look at passenger lists, and hopefully census forms.

Thanks Helen for looking, I have looked but been unable to find the right Frank, as I don't know where they departed from or came into this country. That is the only information I have on them.

There are no passenger lists from Europe to UK,that I know of.
however there are lists from Europe to USA which call into UK,
Hamburg Passenger Lists, 1850-1934 (in German)

there are UK incoming passenger lists for this time period on Premium

I had a look for Frank Kraus* 1898 +/- 5 years and these are the only ones that came up

as you have Premium you could look yourself and try different spellings etc

Can anyone who has Worldwide subscription in Ancestry, I only have prem. please have a look for Frank Krauss on passengers lists.He was born in Germany came over to England between 1897 - 190l married to Louisa Schiele and they had 4 children as on 1901 census.
