13H 10m Noon was 10 past 1 afternoon.
2H 20m AM 20 past 2 in the morning.

Looking through my collection of Scottish birth certificates, they all register the time as either PM or AM ... PM old style times.

None have used the 24 hr clock method ... but it may be a case of where in Scotland the certificate was issued and their particular way of recording times of birth.

I have copies of entries for the births of my g grandmother and her sister in Scotland. The second colum is for 'When and Where Born, with Hour of Birth'.
One entry reads 13H 10m Noon, the other 2H 20m AM. Does anyone know how to read these times?
It's probably obvious!
