I must be going crazy...
I'm sure I saw a thread on here about this recently but I can't find it now. Does anybody know where it is or how I can search 1841 census by address?

Thanks
Beverley

Sorry clicked too soon.

I'm trying to find 102 Cheapside, Denham, Buckinghamshire. There should be a family named 'Stoneham' but I can't find any of them on the 1841 census, only on later ones. I've tried searching for all names - even S* and it doesn't work.

Thanks for your help

Thanks for your help Somerset Girl but I don't think either are the right ones. One of the sons (Henry or James - he is shown as both at various times) was born in Denham, Buckinghamshire in 1835 and shown at 102 Cheapside in the 1851 census. I am trying to find some clues about the mother but I can only assume she died before 1841. I have my suspicions they are a bit roguish and maybe the father was in prison - I don't know for certain yet.

Thanks for your help anyway

Thanks once again Choccy. You are my constant life-saver. I don't know where (or more importantly) how you found that but I've managed to find it on Ancestry and, would you believe, the transcription was STENHSENS

Give my regards to your OH.
