Hi all can anyone tell me where i can find scottish marriage records i am trying to find the Matthew Templeton born 1834 in Kilmarnock Ayrshire Scotland he married a lady called Margaret its her maiden name i am looking for thanks Carol.

Found this marriage on Familysearch.org,,,,,

19th May 1856,Ayr.
Mathew Templeton,
Margaret Stewart,

Its an extracted entry from Parish Records so a true one,,,,,Scotlandpeople for the marriage entry cert will give you both sets of parents,,

Hi Carol,

Mathew Templeton aged 22 of High street Ayr, Father William a weaver . and mother, Margaret Baird.
Margaret Stewart age 20 of York street, Newton-on-Ayr, father ( looks like) Kaiothorn Templeton, a ships master, and mother Margaret Webster.
Marriage took place on the 19 may 1856.
Witnesses were
Buchanan Stewart and Thomas Powell.
The marriage was registered on the 22 May 1856.

I have inage should you require it.
