I would like to Thank all those who have helpped me in my past searches for my family .....

One tip I wish to say again is NEVER give up

I was searching for a William Williams!!!! so what I did was

1 Got his childrens birth certificates
2 pin pointed all the adresses on them in London and where he said he worked!! army clothing dept

we all know that no cars were around in the 1900 so it had to be close by

so I assumed it was Chelsea army barracks as all the adresses where close by then I looked for a William Williams who died close by on BMD of all places!!!

And found ONE sent for that death certificate and BINGO ......its him ......

Thanks to you all for showing me the way and giveing me insperation to go on

Maybe start with which census you have found him on for where he says hes born and when he was born?

His marriage cert for his fathers details?

How old was he on Death cert?

census is a good one!! but cant find him on one yet!!

No marriage certificates as they didnt marry!!!

He was 58 at death

That makes it 1876

his first child was born 1912

he is NOT with his wife in 1911????

He must have been fairly near her to have got her pregnant?

So where was she?

Can you give me her 1911 details please?

OMG....her details ...

she was a tart!!! and changed her name everytime she moved !!!!

Kate jane Pogson born 1882
Katherine jane Wolstencroft widow in 1911 address 30 Gloucester street Pimlic london

she married Thomas wolstencroft in 1909 and he was dead by 1911 census Kate was living with her sister Edith Pogson at that address

very complicated story!!!

William and Kate had their first baby in July 1912

Thanks ...Yes I,ve looked at that one and thort many times prehaps he lied about his age ...as we know this has often been the case
