Jacqui,

"Henrici" is Latin and means "of Henry" but Redigon and Vivian are not Latin or even Latinised forms. Can you give us the full baptismal entry so that we can see the words in context?

Thanks Ann.

You may be right in which case I can eliminate him from my search for Roger.

I really do think it's a family name - my father was called Harman - it was his mother's maiden name - happens a lot

well on googling it seems to be a surname generally but obviously surnames are often used as forenames, even today. what is the full name and where was he baptised?

Hi

I have a 1604 baptism for a Redigen Vivian father Henrici which I assume are latin spellings.

Henricci is probably Henry but does anyone have any idea what Redigen could be?

Many thanks for your time.

Jacqui
