Help with computer problem please!!

I cant get any of the icons on my computer to open, any idea what could cause this?

Can you give more details? Is there any error message? Are you using a PC and what operating system?

Google "icons won't open" and follow the help.

Could be a malware problem.
can you right click and open them from start.?

Thanks for your reply!!

I am a completely stupid when it comes to computers.

When I click on Outlook Express Icon it wont open, in fact none of the Icons will open. When I right click nothing happens either.

Hi Betty,

First of all click together..... Ctrl / Alt / Delete ....which will open Task Bar allowing you to perhaps close down something which shows up as 'not responding'

If that fails,I would just reboot it ...........click Start / Restart......or just switch off then back on as there is every possibility that it has just locked up.
