hi i am having problems in finding my gran on the birth entrys
her name is priscilla guinney and i know she died in 1957,aged about 69 - 71, birth date was 31 aug,married in 1919, but cannot find her on census under births, could this mean she wasnt born in uk and if so where would i find a irish link of births. thanks ruth

even if she was born 31 Aug, if they didn't register her birth till 6 weeks later it would have gone into the Dec quarter

have you tried the Lancashire on line parish clerks - I think if you google lancsbmd you should be able to find it?

i think the guinney is spelt this way as i know they were funny about the way it was spelt. but thanks for your help they are helpful.
