Technically, Ontario deaths aren't closed. However, there's no published general index for the last 70 y.

Depending what province she was in. Ontario deaths go up to 1947 here:

At the moment deaths go up to 1934.
Seems like a 75 year closure period
Do Ancestry add later years as they come within this period.
Or is it stuck on 1934.
My great grandmother died in 1936
