There are only 4 births for a Marlene Newcombe, but nowhere near 1942.

I wonder if Newcombe was her maiden name, or if she had married before, as according to your date she would have been 38 when she married. Quite possible of course but slightly unusual.

her husband is my cousin iknow they lived together for a long while before marrying in 1978 they were running a pob in kent
im not sure if she was married before colin
