Is there no such thing as 'promotional codes' to get a discount anymore like there used to be? or is the 14 day trial the best you can get now and then pay the full subscription?

If you sign up to Quidco.com and buy your Ancestry subscription through them you get 25% cashback on the portion of the subscription before VAT.

It works out that you get about £22 cashback and it costs £5 per year to be a member of Quidco. You can buy from all sorts of shops and outlets through Quidco and get different amounts of cashback from as little as 1% and up to about 25%.
