Can anyone give me directions as to getting the divorce records on Ancestry. I click Marriages and Divorce but can only view marriages. Any instructions welcome. Thank you.

I didn't think Ancestry had Divorce records - may be wrong

you could try the following depending on the time period you're interested in

http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/catalogue/RdLeaflet.asp?sLeafletID=53
and
http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/catalogue/
Go to Search the Catalogue on their website, put the surname in and use J77 as the reference to search.

Or findmypast has
Divorce indexes 1858-1903

The more recent ones (but very expensive ~£50) are not available for the public to search. The search has to be done by the Courts Service.

Ancestry seem to have re titled (or may be a new section) some records as 'Marriage and Divorce'.

You can get to it by going in through the card catalogue from your home page. Then select BMD, then Marriage and Divorce

No idea how good it is - without specifying any decade or country, it has catagorized the London, England, Marriages and Banns, 1754-1921 as part of it.....they are marriages and not divorces. Perhaps it is something they are planning to add, although they are unlikely to be British ones.

If you have been given a result from a search, if you put it up, someone with a World Wide Sub may be able to have a look for you, if you can't view it your self.
