Can anyone give me any tips to researching family data in the 1700's. I can trace family back to 1700's, but can not find a way to confirm births or parents, as not showing on marriage records and no census then.

hi

look at this site familysearch.com as it is a world wide side run by the mormens and they have people going back a long way past the census

Thanks for that Ann. I do use that site, but am rarely successful at finding new details for my tree. Have found it so difficult confirming 'early relatives'
