I have been looking at the parish record on Familysearch for Rockland All Saints, Norfolk, Banns 1755-1823, Image 2 of 15, No. 4 for William Boreham and Sarah ? but cannot read Sarah's maiden name. Also on Marriages 1755-1812, Image 2 of 19, page 2,
9 Oct 1757 - can anyone decipher Sarah's maiden name please.

Thanks in advance

Elaine

I think it may be Betts

Have a look at Bpt/Marr/Burials 1753-1812 go to page 3 ,there's a Baptism for a Betts ,look how the tt's have a bit of a swirl on them .do you think it looks the same ?

Sorry for not replying earlier.

Thank you all for your suggestions - I am going to the records office in Norwich this week to see the actual records or ask staff there if they can decipher them for me.

Will certainly look at Betts as a possibility.

Once again, thank you all for your time and effort.

Hi MilliemollyAmanda

Went to the records office in Norwich and you were right the name was BETTS - a kind member of staff confirmed this from the original.

I can now go back to the 1700's.

Well done - many thanks.
