Have you checked the surviving discharge papers (name indexed on the National Archives Catalogue) to see if his records are at Kew?

I would email the Musuem with your questions to find out what is available.

I am researching my ancestor who was a soldier in the 1st King's Dragoon Guards from 1783-1794 and I believe posted to Flanders in 1795.

I have been to Kew and looked at the muster records there but wondered if a visit to the Dragoon Guards museum at Cardiff Castle would help with my research.

Can anyone help please?

Many thanks
