Is Anyone Familiar with Whaplode Drove Lincs?

I've searched the 1881 census for my relation William Green and his wife Ann/Mary but can't find them anywhere.
William died in July 1881 so I know he was alive when the census was taken. The address given on his death cert is Shephay Stow, Whaplode Drove. On my map I've found a Shepeau Stow very near to Whaplode Drove.
I've trawled the census for WD and it includes Dowsdale, Shepeau Stow is between these two but it's not included. I've also looked through Gedney Hill as that's another village close by but it's not there either. Another village is Holbeach Drove and I can't find that to search.
I wondered if anyone had any idea where to look next. Is it possible they missed some places out?

Thanks for any help Carole x

Hi
The 1st answer is him the 2nd is his son!
He was born 1815 in Langtoft Lincolnshire. They moved to Whaplode Drove and pretty much stayed in that area.
The informant on his death cert is Elizabeth Green his sons wife. She lived in Dowsdale or Gedney Hill which are both close to Shepeau Stow.
I'm wondering if it's been missed out as I can't find anywhere else that it would come under apart from Holbeach Drove and that is missing also.

I wonder if he was in the Workhouse Infirmary?

The workhouse often had the only hospital that was available for poor people

................... and it was not uncommon for them to show patients either under no name, or under initials only.

holbeach is now a small town. Whaplode drove and Gedney hill are still here also. The nearest 'big' town is Spalding, which is north of Peterborough. In the fens there are a lot of tiny places that are not really a place and some of the names have been shortened.
I have lived in Peterborough all my life and have heard of these places and possibly driven through them without even noticing.
I have never heard of Holbeach Drove so am assuming that 'drove' was dropped.
I can ask a friend who lives out that way. What specific questions do you have,
