Marriage Query help

On the 1871 census there is Robert Munro and his wife Bathia and family living in Durham included is also a George E Peterkin a nephew born in scotland.
A daughter Hellen(various spellings)born1855 Scotland does not appear with the family but Vera on the records page has found her for me.
I have found a marriage for Hellen to a George E Peterkin,
On the 1881 census for George Peterkin and family is an Ann Munroe a sister in law born 1861 Durham.
I think Ann and Hellen are both the daughters of Robert and Bathia.
My query is it legal for Hellen to marry her parents nephew.
Please excuse me if this is confusing.
Best wishes Maurice.

If George was a nephew and Hellen a daughter then
Hellen and George would be first cousins. Don't think it is illegal for them to marry.
