Googling that gives this:

P/JX 247284 Ordinary Seaman Frederick John Turner, Royal Navy, H.M. Lighter A.7. Died 13th October 1941 Aged 21. Son of Matthews Joshua and Mary Hannah Turner, of Warkworth, Northumberland. Commemorated Portsmouth Naval Memorial.

A lighter is a barge.

please i need help in finding a navy vessel from ww2
my uncle was on one, i have the details of his death 1941 from the ww2 death records and they give vessels name as H.M.... LIGHTER A7 on the naval ratings for 1939-1948 record it looks like the name has been crossed through, i believe it was a submarine he was on, but would realy like to confirm that.
thank you jenny
