Would appreciate help if possible. I have an ancestor born in 1860 - could she have married in 1859? what was the consent age at that time? Thanks in advance for any help given.

could you give the dates again as the dates you have given suggest she married before she was born

Oh sorry.....Born 1860, first child born 1876. At that time could she have married around birth of child, ie, 15 or 16 years of age?

The age was 12 for girls and 14 for boys but this had to be with parental consent under aged 21.
