I have a book called Coronation Souvenir Book, published in 1937 which came from a jumble sale in the '50's for a few coppers.

It is crammed full of photos on the Royal Family from the death of George V through the abdication to the coronation of George. VI Around 160 pages it is a hardback with a gold cover.

A copy sold on one of the tv programs a year or so ago for around £50, so if you see a copy grab it.

Dear All

Hello

The following coronations and celebrations of jubilees provided great photo opportunities to record life for ordinary people.

Your local archive service will probably hold many pictures from these events.

You can see what your area looked like and may even find your ancestor at one of the events such as street parties, parades, tree planting cermonies, park dedications, etc.

12 May 1937:
The Coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth

22 June 1911:
Coronation of King George V and Queen Mary

9 August 1902:
Coronation of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra

Early photographic coverage also caught on film and in pictures, the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1897.

Hope this helps

Best wishes
