Despite the fact that FMP hold the monopoly at present, they have two search engines which are as similar as chalk and cheese. By all accounts the 'official' 1911 site which requires credits, is far better that FMP's own subscription site when it comes to getting results.

If you subscribe to find my past for 12 months to include the 1911 census aswell the cost is £149.90

I agree with Astra. It isn't on Ancestry and isn't likely to be until at least 2011 and probably 2012.

Findmypast has a monopoly at the moment because they did the digitising of the census.

It's not on Ancestry I'm afraid.
Only available through Find My Past or the Official 1911 Census site. It won't be available anywhere else until at least 2012 I'm led to believe.

Does anybody know when the 1911 census will be availbale on the Genes Reunited site ?
I am playing with the idea of joining Ancestry.com to get access to it immediately, but don't want to pay if it's going to be on G.R. quite soon.
