Hi

If Stuart was born in Oldham there is a tree with him on Ancestry.co.uk

So it maybe worth contacting the tree owner??

Just did a quick search on ancestorsonboard.com and see that a Stuart Graham (birth year 1926) sailed to Canada from Liverpool in 1956, destination port - Saint John NB.
I can't look at details as I don't have a subscription or credits to the website, but it may clarify the spelling of the name for you!

Search Freebmd for all Graham births,in the area that your mother was born ,with the maiden name of your grandmother and you will get the right spelling.
