Thought I would let you know that I got a very helpful response from Ancestry on Wednesday.
Logged into the site to make the recommended amendments & guess what?
Couldn´t access my tree because of site problems.

PS Sorted now.

I had a feeling in my water that it was something to do with the work Ancestry were doing this week. On the other hand, it´s just as likely to be something I did when I was tidying up my tree, although I wasn´t working on that branch.
Will contact Ancestry & see what they come up with.
Thank you both.

He has disappeared from my tree. Now my Dad has no father. If I re enter him, he comes up as a new person & won´t link to my grandmother. The same happens if I re enter him as my g grandfather´s son.
He was there on Monday, so where´s he gone?
The only way I can see to put him back where he belongs is to wipe off the whole tree & input it again .No!!!
Have tried the Ancestry help board but can´t find a solution.
Anyone know the secret please?
