Has anyone purchased a will from the early 1600s only I am wondering if they are easily readable or if they are in Latin.
Thanks
Lindsey

They are most likely in English (except for the first paragraph) but can present some challenges when you try to read them. You may need to send the file to someone on this site (I have done a couple myself) who has experience and can decipher them.....

Still, once you work out what they say it is good fun - just takes time

Good Morning Lindsey
I have sent for a few wills dated 1700's, from Northampton Archives, and they came type written, ready translated, with an explanation as to what some of the words meant.
You may hit lucky

Hi Julia. Thank you very much for your reply and I hope that I am that lucky. I will be applying for mine from the Leicestershire Archives, they seem very good there so fingers crossed. Sorry for the delay in replying, I haven't been on the computer since this morning.
