The clipboard is part of the standard copy & paste operation.
If I high-light some text, then type ctrl-c, it empties the clipboard and puts the high-light text into the clipboard. I can then place my cursor on some other document, like this reply box, or my own text file, and type ctrl-v, and the contents of the clipboard are copied there - I can position my cursor again, type ctrl-v again and get another copy, etc.
Some web sites give you a button to copy the record to the clipboard instead of the ctrl-c - the record search pilot at family search is one such site, and evidently the tree site you're looking at is another. You'll have to check whether the site empties the clipboard first - they usually do.

When I view the information on a family tree occasionally I would like to print out the information on an individual. Apparently I can use the clipboard? Can some kind person advise me what to do? Many thanks in anticipation. Bob
