Does anyone have passenger lists to Australia, please?

I am looking for any of the Jewson family from about 1870-1900 and Grimes who emigrated in 1849, the former were from Norwich and the latter, Asby de la Zouch

I have another query on this subject.

I have a note that Martha Plested arrived in Brisbane on the Dorunda 21 Oct 1884, however other records say she arrived the following year.

I have a newspaper report that says the Dorunda arrived from London, on that date, that there were were passengers, immigrants and general cargo on board, but no passenger list. Is it possible to obtain a passenger list?

Regards

David

Sorry, I should have looked back on the thread.

I found both Martha and her sister Emma on the Queensland archive given above.

David Report 27 May 2010 11:13

As the immigrants given on the above Queensland pages were on assisted passages, is there any record of applications for these passages?

Hi David.

Your best bet would be to contact the Queensland State Archives. You can purchase a copy of the origional doc.
Some have sponsors name.
